TALK: Fiona Fouracre, Casting Artist
Beginning at 11am, Fiona will cast your little finger in a shooter cup, leaving them to set while she talks to us about her fascinating and varied career.
A model maker since 1995, Fiona has worked on a wide range of projects, from the musical Starlight Express - regularly making the helmets, which took a right old bashing - through to adverts for cereal eg making ramps of coco pops for the milk to flow down attractively for the cameras.
She started her own business in 1998, offering castings in bronze and silver. Baby feet were the most popular!
Fiona also did hand casts for the Hard Rock Café, including of Duran Duran and Lionel Richie. She sold this business in 2013 to move to Botswana for 8 years, where she used the time to write a short novel.
The talk will be followed by the unveiling of the castings, with Q&A.
Saturday 27 June 11.30am

Judith Westrup is a printmaker who works in the medium of linocut. Before encountering printmaking, she worked as a Speech & Language Therapist. She is also a keen mudlark, a recorder of Ancient Trees and hedgelayer. Judith lives with her family in Kent, where she prints and teaches in her kitchen studio.
Join us for this 20 min talk with complimentary drinks, to find out more about Judith's journey, inspiration and techniques.
Followed by Q&A.
